Damon Albarn is the lead singer and songwriter of Gorillaz. The band's first album went Triple Platinum in the UK, with several hit singles. Earlier this year they dropped their 8th studio offering Cracker Island. It features guest appearances by Thundercat, Beck, Taming Parla and Stevie Nicks. In 2016, Damon received the Ivan Novello Lifetime Achievement Award. He also shared the 1996 Songwriter of the Year Gong with his Blair Bandmates.
