It is really compelling to me that mathematics can describe not just the fundamental bits of the universe, but also that it seems like we can find these fairly simple mathematical stories to describe. We can do physics at these higher levels, even without understanding the little bits underneath. No matter which level you, you know, if you think of science as these levels from the fundamental to the more complex,you've got relevant mathematics that appears there.
