Do We Have a Chechen War?

It doesn't seem like we're talking about anything like Stalin, grad, or Verdun numbers. Everything still seems to be fairly small scale. Russia and Ukraine both come across as kind of aged, depressed states that can only bring a small number of people into battle... It's remarkable. These are demoralized states.
