How to Create a Tile Grid Map
The trade off is that people can find themselves on a map and but the geography may not match. One of the things I saw that I really liked were the hexagon or tile version. When you do that, you have to start making some decisions about where you're going to place the squares because now it's arbitrary. But one of the advantages of that is you can start adding more data to your map.
