David was adopted when he was two years old. He has no real memories of his birth family, but believes that the people who love you are your family. His parents both worked extremely hard to provide for him and his sister. David's mother died aged 24 from a rare condition called retsendrome - she could not walk or talk. Her father retired as a plumber because he couldn't keep up with all their work. The couple have three children now; one is an adult while another will be in her 20s next year.
