The Connection Between Happiness and Income Levels

In your book, you also cite the adage, money can't buy happiness. You point to some of the research around happiness and income levels. And i'm wondering if you can tell us a little bit about the connection between happiness and materialism. Once we've got our base line needs met, which i believe every one in the world would have, then it's arguable still how much more we can consume before feeling better with ourselves. But as an example, when s been living in london, it's an expensive place to live. There's amazing restaurants and bas but you can go out spend maybe three hours,. cause cold and it's winter, and everything shuts at 12
