You don't really owe that person anything. You could definitely do therapy. There's a ton of work that you can do here on your own, and it's probably not necessary to jump straight to that. Pull in some basic resources, especially things related to cogna behavior therapy. And start holding yourself more accountable for challenging your thoughts and your assumptions.
