Yet when this news was leake the public and the press became obsessed with the rumour. In march 19 97, about six months after these rumours start surfacing, a b c, the network behind the show, officially announced that the character allen morgan, would be coming out in a special one hour episode on the last day of april. Ellen was already out as a gay woman, and her riding staff already knew her story. But she did want the racter on the show to come out as gay and to publicly come out
