If you're trying to create a sustained, independent company, i think an mba is fantastic. There's other ways to get that porspective and training. I learned so much from every one i've worked with,. including jerry leven ot, pillsbram and just all these leaders that sometimes you learn from leaders that maybe you don't want to emulate.
