How to Celebrate the American Revolution in 2026
LZ Granderson: I'm thinking about how and where me and my family will be commemorating, remembering and celebrating the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution. My wish list for that moment is kind of a three problem. One, I want us to celebrate the evolution of freedom and its evolving meaning in the many groups in which it has encompassed since 1776. Two, I don't want us to disappoint the founding generation's capacity to make mistakes because they tried to do better. Three, we need to commit ourselves as a community, as Americans, to continuing to open pathways so that more people can enjoy the freedoms that we do.
