The Calvinist's Arguments on John Calvin's Harsh Treatment of Dissenters

Back when I proudly wore the label Calvinist, I honestly knew very little about the French reformer named John Calvin or his actual writings. This label was simply a shorthand, a shorthand explanation of my sociological views. And so if the non-Calvinist is not willing to fully examine the biblical doctrines of sociology as proposed by the Calvinist, they really have no ground to question the systematic proof that John Calvin treated dissenters in a sinful manner. That's an ad hominem attack attacking the person who's carrying a truth and looking at their character may be flawed.
