The Separate Ego and Boredom
The sense of being a separate self makes people fearful and in need. Fear and need are the two defining characteristics of the apparently separate person or ego. Most people seek objects, relationships, substances to put an end to that sense of lack or fear. If we know that what we essentially are is without limits, is ever present, then our relationship with life changes.
