The House That We Purchased for Our First Home

Sometimes in this world of Instagram, Youtube and HGTV it might seem like everyone else is pulling off massive renovation projects in just a few months' time. Endless budgets (or unrealistic more likely) and several contractors make it all happen. The renovation story of our last farmhouse might be a little more relatable. We bought it for a super cheap price, lived with the ugly (other than a little paint) for several years until we paid it off. After that we used a modest budget to slowly finish the project. Our cheap little fixer upper was eventually featured in Do it Yourself Magazine and Flea Market Style!
