A History of the Hurids
Mohammed huri was born in the year 11 forty nine, in the mountainous on of hor. Hor had been primarily populated by buddhists for the last thousand years. But from the eleventh century on it became increasingly moslem and a centre of learning. He wanted not just to loot and rob north india, like his ancestors, but to conquer territory for himself and settle down there for good. The chronicler ferishta, a persian scholar who settled in india in the sixteenth century, recounts this campaign in sparse terms.
