What's the Hedonistic Calculus?
Bentham tried to give us kind of a guide for our moral reasoning. He gives us what's called the hedonistic calculus. What you want to do is try and maximize the pleasure for the most people involved, minimize the pain. If your action results in more pleasure over all for more people, this is a moral thing.
