i didn't know that our life style was different until i was about five or six. My family is very in tune, and this is something that is spoken about a lot. But again, because i am first generation and my parents are immigrants, they didn't really have a lot of time sit with me and to explain to me the beauty of the practices in my family. So that is also why, you know, to day i am, i am an activist. I am a spiritual activist. And i speak a lot about having compassion about your family and your parents, especially if they're emigrants,. Especially if they're new to a new land., she says.
