The Problem With Becca's Reinterpretation of Freud

Freud's understanding of the human psyche is inherently politically very conservative. He would not have been satisfied to drop something that pessimistic on human beings and then just, you know, exit the scene. In Freud's understanding, the real authentic you is that once what it wants when it wants it, it's antisocial.
