The City of Sydney Housing Crisis
Less than one per cent of residential housing in the city of sydney is classified as affordable. Apartment sale prices have increased by 85 %, from between 22 thousand six and 20 18. House rents up by 83% - almost half of the people in the city are now renting. Local government has most cases stepped out of its role to help low income people stay in the city. It's at every level am that the different governments need to step up. But local government can do a lot more. Is just become there's this idea, oh, we don't do that, youlo yo.
