Are All Possible Worlds Equally Real?
David lewis's view that all possible worlds are equally real is, as they say, fully deserving of an incredulous stare. The more popular iga adam's type view is bizarre, but for different reasons,. What they call possible worlds are abstracta, either propositions or states of affairs. Even the so called actual world, ok, but such a thing, a long proposition stating all that happens in all places in all times, that's not a world. That's not a total history at all. It is not, and could not be, the events which have happened, which are happening and which will happen. We can still talk about what is necessary to understand what is possible
