Introduction

Emo extra corporeal membrane oxygenation is an important subject for many reasons. Increasingly, i've been seeing indications for my head ct scans as a ation for ecmo. Many of these patients on ecmo are critically ill with covid in the early part of the pandemic. There was optimism that this was a good way to keep these patients alive. In the spring of 20 20, 60 % of patients treated with ecmo survived at least 90 days. But then by the end of 20 20,. that number dropped to forty percent.
