I was just curious if you could talk a little bit about what that quote means to you and maybe how it's influenced your approach to teaching. The brain has to be paying attention to something to fire its neurons in a way that creates new learning, new networks in the brain. And so if you're not doing the work, then nothing's happening. It really boiled down to that statement that unless you are engaged, unless you are doing the work of learning, nothing happens.
