Amanda, how do you get through those days? I mean, you said you're having to confront this idea of inhabiting this new identity. Well, i'm the first step was acknowledging that this is a community, but it is full of a lot of, lot of human suffering and a lot of humanity. And these were my people, i guess is a way of saying it like this. This was my community, whether i liked it or not.
Amanda Knox was just 20 years old when she was found guilty of a crime she did not commit — the murder of her roommate. Amanda spent four years in an Italian prison before she was finally exonerated and allowed to return to her life back home in the U.S. But she soon discovered that that life didn't exist anymore.
