The practice that is really powerful, it's one of only three behavioral approved practices for trauma is EMDR. This involves making lateralized eye movements and moving one's eyes back and forth from one side to the other. And so these eye movements are powerfully reducing your fear response. So when people repeat their trauma enough times while in a state of non fear, they learn to uncouple the emotional memory from the experience which is incredible.
