A Brief History of Abraham Lincoln

Abraham lincoln was born in a one room log cabin in kentucky wilderness. He grew up wrestling, felling trees and splitting logs to build fence rails. In his twenties he settled in illinois where he worked as a store clerk. Later he passed the bar and became a trial lawyer. Lincoln turned his law career into a successful run for congress but only served one term. The burning debate over the expansion of slavery led him back into politics. To him, slavery was an issue that should be left to states and territories to decide.
