The Importance of Collegiality in the District Court
Judge Cole: It's important to be able to have those kinds of conversations with your colleagues but you will only do that if there's trust and mutual respect. The six circuit has tried to develop opportunities for when we're in our home location in Cincinnati to get together so there is a summer boat ride which gives us a chance to get together socially. Judge Ellis said get to know one another on both a professional level and a personal level. I think at the end of the day better decision making.
