How Did You Know That a 12-Year-Old Boy Was a Truant?

In the last year that I worked at Sasha Bruce, and I was running this school based substance use prevention program. There's almost a montage that I think about. Some kids really deeply challenging settings and then others who were just like dealing with run of the mill challenges. And that just made me incredibly mad that that could exist in the city that I was raised in only four miles from where I grew up.
