You wrote, in reflecting on the situation that she vas, a piece in the guardian, 20 18, you write, it's wise to marry people for their faults, not despite them. Talk to me more about this notion, it is what i think. I preferred to be with somebody who was going to be a hard man to stop, than somebody whom i had to encourage to step off the curb and cross the street. But you cannot di regard people's faults, i think, and you can't expect them to change. And unless you're marrying somebody who's six years old, the chances are pretty good they will go on being who they are.
