Getting a Data Engineering Job Can Be Tough
The cold start problem is the hard problem. For students coming out of school, it's really tough because they have not proven themselves and they have no way to prove themselves. Once you have that first job, it does get easier with the exception that if you've been in one job for 10 years or something, people get a little bit nervous. And then just get out there and demonstrate that you have these existing skills and that you can learn new skills,. demonstrating your willingness and ability to pick up some new technologies.
