I think it's probably even more than just a concession to humanity, which seems to see things in dualities. Can you look closely at how this book is written and realize that that duality is really a unity? Yeah. I think that's perhaps why the Torah might be playing coy with us. It's supposed to seem like two trees, but it's also supposed to seeming like the careful reader, like maybe the two are really one. And that's why Moshe intertwines them. They eat za-dah- dah-vra. So that's got it.
