General Intelligence

The original goal at least, was to have a mah machine that could be like a human. But this is something that's eluded ai systems for its entire history. I'm not sure i really understand the idea that if a person or a computer is said to have general intelligence, they will be good at many things that require intelligence. If you're smart, you're smart. That's the idea.
