The Senate's Debt Ceiling Increase

The goal here as Republicans are to get, give themselves cover so that they can't say they didn't try. The next step is for the Senate to try to pass something. And that's going to be difficult because you have 50 Democratic senators. So I don't think you can expect that it's likely to be very quick that the Senate would be able to pass a debt ceiling increase that doesn't include spending cuts.
