How to Motivate Your Students
You need to connect with what's already there in order to make it something that makes sense on the one hand. You also want to get the level of working memory load right. It's more often that you're going to have too much working memory load than too little because of problems around expert blindness. Then another important thing is to make them realize that there is something to learn and to something to motivate them.
