The Covid Crisis: A Shock to the System
I don't know actually whether we will continue in the same way as we've seen it. To quote Marx, everything solid melts in the air and I think we had a breaking point in history where when we gradually start to pour out of this things could look very different. We're already beginning to hear now that companies are going to break their supply chains by bringing some of their production or service back to headquarters. Now, you know, I think that's one extreme. I think things staying as they were is probably another extreme. It seems to me that those longer term trends still exist and will exist beyond our immediate response to this Covid crisis.
