Black and brown educators are up to three times more likely to identify black kids as gifted. The one pattern i don't like is that a lot of black and brown educators, for all we talk about with recruiting them, stay in the class room long as long as they're wy counterparts. If te teacher there actually looks like you, it was hard to say it's not for you. But will we do it? Will we do the kind of thing that's going to create more opportunities when they don't currently exist? So we can disrupt that pattern?"
