The Rise and Fall of Lovecraft

Cameron: I feel like it's going to be real hard for us to get through the chapter if we pause every time. Chapter opens with this idea that what makes Lovecraft interesting as a figure is that he ultimately takes the move to cosmic horror broadly out of like the earlier fanta more fantasy based Lovecraft work. He turns away from virulent and awful racism toward the end of his life precisely due to the pluralism that is afforded by his writing around those things. That is the sketch of the chapter broadly.
