The Problem Isn't With the Great Gadsby, Right?
i remember hating the great gadsby when i was in high school, and just thinking, this book is so cringy. The problem wasn't with f scott fitzgerald; it was that i had decided in advance that i did not like this kind of story about these kinds of people. Sometimes a book isn't for where i am right now, or it's not for me. So whenever i find myself, like, reading a book and getting really angry with it, sometimes i'm getting angry because i do deeply disagree fundamentally with the arguments that the book is making.
