The pivotal year seems to be 18 52. There were compromises with culture that were made, and we talked about that too. I'm amazed at their faith and patience. In some ways, theirs was a hard saying. Who can hear it? And yet, as jesus said to peter,. will you also go away? And his response to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life. Those words might include hard sayings, but they 're the only words worth living by.
