If you're under on protein, but hit your calories for the day, should i try to hit my protein or stop eating? You can just stop eating, but i would not recommend that you make this a habit. Generally, you want to work to hit your protein target at least five days per week. If you miss it by a lot, several times per week, that can get in the way of your results. So sure that you are really paying attention to your protein intake. And you can let your carb and fat intakes fluctuate, so long as your calories are where they need to be.
