The Gift of Recognizing There's Something Happening

I think me as a songwriter, the greatest gift is not coming up with the chords or the melody other words, it's recognizing there's something happening. You know, to be switched on, Kies Richards talks about the songs around the air and all that. I liken it like fishing - if you're not at the river, you're not catching out. And I go there every fucking day in my life. Before I came here today, I'll sit and I'll play the guitar for an hour watching that to the day too with the sound down.
