The Washington Post is what's called a news maker. Meaning that if they say something's important, the other media follow. Jeff Bezos, the owner of Amazon, owns the Washington Post. So my only point leading up to his bigger point is that they create news by telling other people what to concentrate on. How many of you would want to go to a retail store in an urban center today? I wouldn't.
