Technology Policy and Poverty Policy Are Happening Together
Algore has long wanted to privatize the internet, finally gets his shot in the nineties. The pitch that the democrats give is, this thing will connect everybody to the global labor market. And that makes the privatization of the inter net an anti poverty measure. We are also ending welfare as we know it and a dregulating all tele communications markets gives us really expensive, slow internet in the us. These things are happening at the exact same time with the exact same people.
