The Grace of Our Salvation Is the Grace of Being Present to Christ
Angels are pure spirits. They have nothing material or bodily in them, and they were created in a special way for the glory of God who is completely immaterial. St. Thomas is called the angelic doctor, and he loves to discuss angels. The human being is not an angel. When someone dies, he or she doesn't become an angel. So, just in conclusion, the grace of our salvation is the grace of being present to Christ, who was born of the Virgin Mary as God with us. He makes us wet with blood, sanctifying us by the power of the cross, and preparing us to sing Alleluia in the glory of heaven.
