Is It a Bad Thing to Be Doing?
In economics, but in probably every academic field, the way people work is like little kids on a socker field. The answers to th what is it questions are informed by the answers to the how does it work questions. Even if we got the ontology correct, how much better would the social sciences be? Well, social science is really, really hard. There are lots of problems with social the data is terrible. People are very complicated. And so i wouldn't put this forward as a kind of panacea for for social science. I think that there's a lot of reasons why the social sciences are always going to be very difficult.
