The Effects of Step Rate Manipulation on Hip Adduction
There's a three to 6% lower Achilles tendon force, 10% reduction in planter loads. Peak hip adduction is reduced three to four degrees. If you're going to have a shorter ground contact time, that can also lead to a stiffening of the tissue. It may hurt. You know, and I've actively dealt with a patellar tendonopathy ... sometimes cadence seem like if I was, you know, basically exhibiting a short ground contact time it made the situation a little bit worse.
