The microphones on all of these are extremely good and can pick up you speaking at normal volume, even with music playing. If you're concerned about privacy, that should terrify you. Siri was almost as fast or as fast as Alexa most of the time. The old home pods were way slower and those delays would be even longer. Even now with the new ones, the stereo pairing is not rock solid.
