Talking General Practice

Is There a Need for Social Prescriptions in Primary Care?
Healthy life expectancy hasn't kept pace with overall life expectancy. Many more of us spend many more years in poor health, and that's significantly worse in areas of deprivation. You talk about a program in Japan that's aiming to try and extend healthy life expectancy. Do you think we need to start looking at something like that in the UK? Yes, absolutely. It is not something else to load onto GPs who are already too busy to do what they need to do.
