Andrew's Gig Ticket Scenario

I went to watch Harry Styles in Edinburgh and it was the most incredible night. However, there was a stressful mishap before. My friend cancelled claiming she had been booked on a flight for a summer job at a days' notice and was leaving the country. Luckily, I had a friend in Scotland and was able to bring him instead - even though he didn't want to go. The friend who cancelled then asked for a refund for her ticket, which I declined due to it being too late to sell the ticket. Hopefully this was the right thing to do, but I'm not sure if our friendship will be the same.
