The Dominoes - The Greatest Hits of All Time
Jackie Wilson and the dominoes had no hits in 1954. But they got a two-year residency in Las Vegas, supporting Louis Primer and Keeley Smith. It was there that he first came to the notice of someone who would later become a good friend, Elvis Presley. He watched with amazement as Jackie performed Elvis's own hit Don't Be Cruel much better than Elvis did himself. In the famous million-dollar quartet tapes, you can hear Elvis raving about Wilson to Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, and Jerry Lee Lewis.
