The Fed Chairman's Talk About Inflation
Inflation is a rise in the average price level. Bottlenecks are not across the board. They're in specific industries. And so you see those specific prices rising. That's not inflation. If I were to point to one thing going on that is non-monetary that's contributing to inflation, it's the expanded unemployment benefits that encourage so many people not to work. It's allows the if then statement because you and I both don't want to give into the if. But once you get the if, the when naturally follows.
