Early machine learning was very logic driven. A simple rule is much better than a very complicated rule, and captures enough of whatever your data distribution is to be powerful. We're even seeing gogle's been training like a spell correction network since the beginning of time. Ther'es going to get general intelligence within five years? And i don't know if it necessarily matters,. But i also don't think that we'll ever understand each other in the sense that we do now.
